African countries, Canada, and the United Kingdom: You will be granted a FREE visa on arrival. Passports should have a minimum validity of 6 months.
USA, Latin American, UK & Irish Citizens: A visa on arrival will be required, with a cost of $50 USD.

Kigali International Airport (KGL) is the primary gateway to Rwanda. Major airlines like RwandAir, Qatar Airways, KLM, Turkish Airlines and Ethiopian Airlines offer direct and connecting flights to Kigali from various international hubs.

- Currency: The Rwandan Franc (RWF) is the local currency.
- Payment Methods: Credit cards are widely accepted in Kigali and ATMs are available throughout the city. But carry some cash for easy transaction with smaller vendors or in case of issues with card payments.
- Bringing Cash: If you are bringing in any cash to use, ensure it is Dollars, Euros or Pounds sterling as these are the most readily available currencies in local forex bureaus. You are likely to face difficulties exchanging from other currencies to Rwandan Franc.

- Greetings: A warm handshake is the most common greeting, often followed by asking how one is doing.
- Language: English, French and Kinyarwanda are widely spoken. Basic greetings and “thank you” in Kinyarwanda are well appreciated.
